The Milwaukee Bucks made a huge move Nov. 8 by acquiring Eric Bledsoe via trade that most notably gave away center Greg Monroe, and while many questions are raised about Bledsoe, he is a huge fit for the Bucks and will benefit the roster greatly.

Bledsoe picked up 13 points and 7 assists in his first game for the Bucks on Nov. 10 as they went on to win in San Antonio. The offense seemed to flow a lot better with him out on the floor, and he was able to facilitate the offense greatly and get teammates the ball in a position to score.

Overall, things are looking up for Milwaukee after signing the 7-year veteran out of Kentucky. Greg Monroe was brought in to be a solidified starter in the Bucks lineup, but his numbers off the bench were lackluster at best.

The headline behind Bledsoe’s trade was his obvious opinions about wanting out of Phoenix, and this does pose respectable questioning about his attitude. However, he is in a completely different situation in Milwaukee.

Bledsoe is a great supporting cast to a star in the NBA. Devin Booker is not the star player that Phoenix needs to head to a championship. Milwaukee, on the other hand, has arguably one of the best players in basketball right now in Giannis Antetokounmpo (I don’t even have to Google how to spell it at this point) and last year’s Rookie of the Year in Malcolm Brogdon. The future is bright in Milwaukee, and Bledsoe is a great supporting member on this team.

Could Bledsoe’s attitude get in the way? Sure, but given the right conditions and a winning atmosphere, I believe Bledsoe is one of the bigger pieces missing from the Cream City puzzle that will put the Bucks in contention to go out and at least play for the Eastern Conference title.

To all my fellow Bucks fans, all these years of disappointing seasons, basketball-less Aprils and unanswered questions are over. It’s time for the NBA to fear our deer.

The Future is now.

Just a thought, but I could also see another view as to why the Bucks had a bad start: it’s hunting season. All those losses are behind us now.
