As the spooky season hype ends and the weather slowly gets colder, more and more people begin to listen to Christmas music. Eventually it gets overplayed on the radio and in stores.

As a result, one question stands: is it too early for Christmas music? The answer to that question is undecided among others, but to me it’s never too early.

There are many people who think the Christmas season begins as soon as the clock strikes midnight on Nov. 1, but others disagree saying that people should wait until after Thanksgiving.

I remember sitting in the car with my friends singing along to Christmas music in October, and we were having the time of our lives. Then, later in the year, I was handing out candy on Halloween while blasting Christmas music.

While conducting some interviews, I asked freshman Abigail Vincent, who answered, “It is obnoxious and annoying and there are holidays to be celebrated before Christmas.”

Furthermore, senior Hannah Staeven said, ¨I think it’s too early because we haven’t had Thanksgiving yet. I believe after Thanksgiving we can start listening to Christmas music and start preparing for Christmas.”

Christmas music is joyful and upbeat. It puts people in a good mood all around and brings people together. It’s truly never too early to get into the spirit of the wonderful Christmas season.
